American Medical Securities is a subsidiary of PacificCare Health Systems. The union of the two companies broadens their capacity to provide a variety of health insurance plans with comprehensive, flexible, and affordable service to individuals and families. American Medical Securities covers individuals in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

American Medical Securities offers the MedOne Plus benefit package. This plan includes a choice of co-payment and deductible. MedOne Security offers the same benefits as the Plus version, but with lower premiums. It includes coinsurance with an office visit co-pay, and high deductibles. The MedOne HSA is a plan with a high deductible and an established tax-deductible health savings account. The money in the savings account can be used to pay for most medical expenses. American Medical Securities also offers a short term medical plan.
