Blue Cross and Blue Shield was founded more than 65 years ago. Today they are a not-for-profit health insurance company. They are North Dakota's largest provider of health care coverage. They serve more than 400,000 residents of the state. Claims they paid totaled more than $831 million.
They offer plans for individuals and families, groups, and Medicare supplement plans. The individual and family plans include, Personal Choice, Personal Choice for Students, Comprehensive Major Medical, and Blue Saver. Group plans include, Basic Blue Deductible, Basic Blue No Deductible, Blue Saver, Classic Blue, CompChoice, SelectChoice, and Self Funding.
The Medicare supplement plans include, Plan A, Plan C, and Plan F.
